As the sun beat down on the back of my nexk,
The sweat began to congregate on my brow,
I was never so nervous before as I was now.

Moments upon moments of anticipation,
Waiting for the whistle to blow.

There it is,
I hear it;
Calling me,
Enticing me,
Beckoning me forth.

At last,
Too strong for me to ignore,
And like a cheetah I spring out.

Chasing my pray as it moves ever which way,
Trying to evade me.

I find I must back down till it comes nearer again,
Daring to defeat me.

Too quick I become,
And easily do I catch it.

Steal it away,
And hurriedly I pray,
That my enemy will stay at a distance.

I passit about,
Get open and shout,
That I am in a position of use.

When it comes back to me,
Hurriedly I take careful aim,
Hoping to send it to its grave.

The orange netting embraces it,
Holding it near as I dance and run back.

My fame is short-lived,
But the chase will begin,
As the whistle is blown again.

Awesome write but you have some grammatical errors. Like instead of Neck you wrote Nexk. Also instead of prey you wrote pray.

Poetry is beauty in words.
