I Rest

I rest upon a rose’s petal
Just above the thorns of nettle
A momentary throne of mine
And sip the nectar of its wine

And in the distance of my view
I see a sky of rainbow hew
With fields of green that lay in wait
Depending on my mental state

It is a place of conjured soil
Laced with sprays of olive oil
Cooked within an ovens rue
With something I would rather do

And in this dream of fantasy
I touch the view of ecstasy
Wallow in its time of lease
And taste a temporary peace

A honey suckle sauerkraut
For something you would do without

Another fine poem

My ecstasy is always fantasy
Or so it seems

Enjoyed your words this snowy morn

Good morning, Mr. T.!

What a sweet poem with a clever twist of lemon at the end!

~ "honeysuckle sauerkraut" ~ words that I can honestly tell you, I will never forget! lol

Love ya, Sir Sigh Master ( or is that "Thigh Master"?!?

I won't rue the day you cook with roux
It's something sane that I might do.
