i can dance

i can feel the rythem
and the beat
like i can feel rain on my cheeks

the notes flys past my eyes like fireflys
temping me to catch them
and i'll fly through the sky
chasing them
wanting them
needing to feel their beauty

it's almost as if i'm the breeze
longing for the ocean
searching day and night for it
to embrace it
like a long lost love

this summer feels like winter without the chase
the world is frozen
waiting for springs warm touch
to thaw it and bring to life
what was once forgotten
so the butterflys can fly
the birds can sing
and i,

i can dance

passing shadows
