I thought of you today
your eyes, your smile
the sound of your voice
the way you say my name
like only you do...
so many things, so many times
I'm reminded of you

and it never really catches me off guard
there have never been walls
between us

only distance and time

so when these thoughts of you
find me, gently remind me
I feel blessed in knowing
the connection remains
and this love that has always been
will always be
what fills the distance
between you and me

Goodness, Susan, how this rings true:

there have never been walls
between us
only distance and time

Beautiful Susan...lovely piece of your heart.

In the midst of winter,
I found there lives within me..
an invincible summer.

"there have never been walls
between us
only distance and time"

I know exactly what you mean,
in my own way.
Have a friend or two that I think of, as well.
If a friendship must end by means other than death,
this is the way it should be... never truly ending.
Great write.

aw, I am so vain
I thought you wrote about me
but, then, I woke up

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

This poem was very sweet. It also was very well written, with a simplicity that doesn't diminish the sincerity of the love being redfered to. I really enjoyed reading this.

Good thing she did too I didn't catch this the first go round.  Know what I love about this - the fact that it could be between any two people in this world.

Susan, you amaze me biker mama
