As shadows splinter,
who would know the first Spring breeze
through tender blossoms-
soft warmth soothes a wintered heart;
frozen gusts chill to the bone.

soft warmth soothes a wintered heart;

that is such a smooth line.

I'm lovin' the A-N-T-I-C-I-P-A-T-I-O-N, choshi~

A tanka extraordinaire! Spring can be such a teaser ~ just when you are enjoying her first kiss, she turns her back on you!

May the coming Spring be faithful to you until Summer ushers in to take her place!

As always, when I read your work I slow down to appreciate the day.  So soothing...

I know that the failure to read your work is my loss... such a loss isn't possible with a title like that... it made sure I stopped... and I'm so glad!!

Ahhh! Such an eye for the non-dual, so delicately spoken   Thank you Kacy

spring's caress is light
offering warmth within chill
buds awakening

Along bare limbs,
glistening in the dawn light:
budding dew drops.
