Hushed, this voice
   adrift in skies
darker than the midnight
of blue.

No stars shine;
no echoes are heard
and though,      as if
     not quite a reality

it resides within      reality.

Surcease time
no motion,
no backward, or forward

             only stillness

waiting, to find a place
         yet un-named,       un-known
where the clock again
tick tocks in rhythm
against        empty spaces

       existing

not here,
  not there
      or anywhere.

        In limbo, alone.

no, wait a minute,
nah, still nothing...
my give a DAMN is busted.  (jodee)

Standing In Silence...

I liked this a lot Aunt Donna, it fits my mood today.. this was my favorite part -

"Surcease time
no motion,
no backward, or forward

             only stillness"

"Cuz I'm broken, when I'm lonesome, and I don't feel right when you're gone away..."~ Seether

"I shut my eyes and hold my cries to myself"~ Taproot

Extremely well done Donna....
Sending hugs your way.

I found there lives within me..

Donna I will trust you when you say that all is well and for us not to worry. Your poetry has been sad and lonely as of late ~ and you write it superbly!!! I understand how we, as poets, can draw on past memories and feelings to write about in the present.

You are a wonderful poetess, Gentle One.

Loving hugs,
Linda

Thanks everyone.

You say it so well Donna dear~
Some days I see it as the lesser of two evils,
at least no one gets hurt that way.  Hugs you~

limbo can be ok....long as we also realize who we are and like ourselves...I don't mind coming to this place once in a while, it's not scary, not lonely, but in fact, it is when I best know, I'm never alone.

This was an exceptional read...thank you

When solitude is our companion, we find our purest thoughts.  Well done.  KJ
