fragile finality

this side of night
dressed as a sky
in high heels
and nylons
the seamed kind
that suggest the way
to a virgin heaven

but never get you there

she seems to enjoy my eyes
following and wishing
they were hands
and that her moon there
was available
for handful touches
that would run down

my worshiping arms after

to stain my mouth
with the jelly sighed
consistency undressed
as a contented smile
breeding in the residue
of suggestive finale
and the fragile finality

of my love prayed dreams
