of Depression

It might have been dusk
With skies of rust,
But she didn’t see or care;
There might have been snow
From a cold north blow
Filling the night air,
And if the ice did sting
Didn’t feel anything
Just still sitting there;
The world was drifting by
She couldn’t laugh or cry
All she did was stare.

Thank you, passing shadows,
For taking the time to read and comment,
Actually
It reminds me of me,
Most days,
But in this case it is someone else
Here in the northern cold.

Reminds me of the numbness,
after a death.
Though there are many times
I might repeat it,
death is the thing that began that,
for me.
Aches. Well done.

This is wonderful Gloom.
It is an altered state of which you write. Been there myself a few times.

It is good to see one of your posts again.  As others have said, one can feel the ache in this.  Perhaps not for the one sitting on the bench, but those watching.  As always, you give us something to ponder.
