In Your Poetic Mind

Colors from glass will
shatter the dawn
upon which my words will

     fall in

pieces of lonely
as intricate patterns lay
still in your gloved palm

&the seduction   of  darkness

will whisper to my silence --
to winter’s ghost

I am made of ash
this is my voice

I stumble, but never see my fall

these, my days,
of time and space
brush dust between us

faith you said
will fall

beautiful  fai
lure
from these lips

that I can no longer embrace
each echo inside

or touch again this ache, long dead

wanting:

the palmed prayer

only silence can hear

~~*~~
I'm Standing on a bridge
I'm waitin in the dark
I thought that you'd be here by now
Theres nothing but the rain

Good Lord, you have described exactly how I feel:

I am made of ash
this is my voice

I stumble, but never see my fall

This is just stunning, Lauren.

So good to read you again.

And failure? Is mostly a matter of degree, or perception.
