Uncarpeted fields and fear of change

I remember those feeders

Yesterday’s coffee seemed stronger today

Why should I make a fresh pot?

The small oak tree in our back yard

Holds onto its leaves

Like a tedious housewife, now alone

Hiding behind the smell of blood, no longer

Who would refuse the free…

“Pass go & collect $200.00's”?

Truth is, morning’s first light is revelation

Closing old scams into evaporating clouds

Brutal with promise, asserting dream charms

Art carries me into other areas of life

Sliding deep down underneath my nails

Painting a yellow sunshine, leaning over me

Like a lover with desire in his eyes

Predetermined anxiety, with employment

Covering half my body with determination

Transfixed on piercing my soul with considerable enthusiasm

And forbidden undertones

Leaning forward in the current of charted newness

Like spring bulbs bursting through winter’s frozen ground

Stocked with nature’s fertilizers….

Yes, this new Tuesday’s banqueting hall

Leads me into a Starbuck’s café

With wondrous books exploding words on silk

Stretching my name into a tattoo

Big golden lettered aphorism

I am loved….

sure Sue, but may I make a suggestion, ask for it made with soy bean vanilla milk...yummy...we're on a kick here at work, stopped and picked some up last evening, it is very good, and since it's flavored with vanilla, it's sweet and good on cereal, in coffee and a number of other things.

Meet me at noon...hehehhehe
