 Dedicated to all my wonderful poet friends who continue to encourage and inspire me * * * Before the death of my father I seemed to be at a loose end But when I discovered writing My pen became my best friend Words have made me stronger I'm not the person I used to be I find strength sharing my feelings As my emotions run free I've let you become a part Of this life that I lead As I write about my father My heart continues to bleed You've held my hand in grief At the depths of my despair You've been with me on this journey I let my words take you there You've seen my passion for love As you've read my words in rhyme You've seen my heart and soul Within each and every line You've seen the love within my heart As I let my words unfurl Another hopeless romantic Pens her thoughts to the world I am in motion |
