Red Paint

in regret
there is so much
I wish I had said
look to the sunset
they are there
painted in red...

tenderly I will hold you through the darkest night
and if you fall it is my hand that will hold you tight
I can not promise perfection for it would be a breach
but if you get lost, empty, or lonely I am within reach
with my very breath, my words, my every deed
your touch and your heart will be my only need

Lovely, especially line 4 of the 2nd stanza

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

“with my very breath, my words, my every deed

That is a great deal to offer
and too much to ask for.

Helen:

but if you get lost, empty, or lonely I am within reach

this is all, really, what is needed.

Red is such a powerful color to have used for this image.  I feel sad, but a great write. Keep up the good words.  Bloom, Gina

Red sky at night, sailor's delight!

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

This sounds like you are the one who lost, however I think with writing like this it is the recipient who truly lost out.
Another masterpiece.
