Our Love

Though darkness ebbs with morning's amber glow
And daybreak glistens softly with rebirth,
Our love is not revived nor does it grow,
But in its constancy is found its worth.
Though seasons cycle ever endlessly
And Winter's frigid death gives way to Spring,
Unwavering in rooted certainty,
Our love provides the songs that sirens sing.
Though passing years must rob us of our youth
And leave once vibrant bodies weak and frail,
There must remain one never yielding truth,
That love, steadfast and pure, will never fail.

Thou chaos rains as havoc rules supreme
While draped in perfect love we'll live our dream.

This is a treasure and a fact that is often so easily overlooked in a heated moment, and I am so pleased to be reminded.
Wonderful write.

I'm so glad I clicked this.  Your thinking and rhyme are awesome.  Yes, hidden in this is the true meaning of love.  This is definitely a keeper to read again and again when tempted by a glitsy love.  You've hit this on the nail!

this bought a thought to mind while reading...loving someone when it's easy to love them, is not the key...but when it's most difficult...for it is the difficult times which strengthens...fabulous!
