Stars tickled the willows as
frogs chorused a lazy crescent moon
swaying over cold waters.

The sound of rubbing wood as an
oar swirled against the current’s
flow...

A beat of heart against the breast,
a lingering sigh that brushes lips.
A tracing flow of silken dressed
and shivering soft shaking hips.

IF once to wade the waters upon the
warming flow,   to streak the walking
ripples as only two loves know.

Rise to me my wanted dream, bring
the gleam of passion’s eye.   Sip
the glass of cooling cream...await
the owl’s first soaring fly.

And whence the branch does feel
the claw of nature’s feathered
friend....a crow shall once softly caw
in wait the river’s bend.

Barry, you never cease to reach into the depths of my inner core with your evocative, yet delicately written, poems of love...

They stir, Sir!

I can always visualize the scenes you paint with your words so easily. A rare talent.

Love the sweet flow, ebb and ripple of this one. Lovely, descriptive writing and the musical quality of the language is enchanting.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

You have a quite special connection to Nature and when you weave love within, the results are just perfect.

Beautiful, very beautiful.

Love, Margherita
