Of Ships and Such

Although our ships born skin and bone
The difference is, not that alone
Each generation sails a sea
Of time into eternity

We grow towards, a purity
A scale that weights, maturity
Each mind a leaf upon a tree
That lives a sort of fantasy

We are a link within a claim
And though the links are not the same
We make the pattern of the all
Although to us we seem so small

Each one a part of growth it seem
And though to each it seem a dream
We siphon through a rift in time
Although we cannot feel the rhyme

And form is not the object here
Our form may even disappear

Just so. And time tests our endurance.
Well done, Sy...

Sy, Sy, Sy...Im so loving the metaphor and personification here...and so many lines laced with your wisdom... I had to highlight them above so that they could each shine in their own light...
and this one....

Each mind a leaf upon a tree

ya get extra winkies for that one.

and as for this one...

Although we cannot feel the rhyme

Oh... YOU feel the rhyme...and so do we when we read your cadenced couplets of way cool.

~ and when our form does disappear, we say, "Boo!"

Please excuse my silliness. I'm in one of my tehe moods!

That was a very lovely sonnet with a bonnet on it! Oh, oh, there I go again!
