The shadows whisper to me.
I pretend that I do not sense their presence
or hear their angered plea.
For I have never understood what they want.
Maybe this life is just for chaos,
the next giving light to confusion.
Making progression possible
and shadows less likely to scream in whispers.
A next evolution of easier transgression,
fewer mistakes to haunt the inner core.
No more memories of how it felt to be wrong
about life, love and worth.

Yet I wonder if death of this energy
must mean the death of flesh.
Maybe realization is the doorway
to the next.
A thousand life times
in what we thought was one.
All the while the key was learning
without repeating
and stumbling towards the light.

"cast me gently into the morning, for the night has been unkind"
~Sarah McLachlan~

Mmm...one day is but a thousand. How about one day is 1440 seconds! Just kidding Susan. Love this poem. It has got me thinking of time. Bravo my friend.

yes - to learn and move forward - if I could just get off the treadmill, maybe I'd make some ground -

enjoyed this greatly -

~ and it can be downright difficult to get it all right the first time around! But eventually, I believe we do!

Susan, that was a remarkable write!

Ah, and I thought no one would understand my thoughts in this...not that it is complicated but rather, bizarre.
