Heading to China

Retiring from the world
My eyes have seen blood spilled in every direction
Feet weary from all sites I have seen
Nothing left for me to find
I have witnessed the creation of life
I suffered through posthumous ceremonies
Hate found its' way into my heart once
Though it left as soon as it came
Tears have caressed my cheeks to many times to count
Madness bore a hole into my spine
Forgiveness flowed from my veins
At times I feel like a statue
Frozen in time, begging my limbs to kick this rigor mortis
Glided through the turbulance as if I was an ace pilot
What is left when you can already see tomorrow
The only thing my poor body has never felt is true love
A love so pure the marble around me would crack
Yet it seems this will never be
Without love all that I have seen is meaningless
Without love a statue I will stay
Perched up high watching the world go by

Tomorrow comes for those who fear it.
Today never ends for those who live it.

a place we've all seen and felt at time, but indeed not to give up or turn our heads to, because, there is and always will be love...and lives astounding us by grabbing us by the frays of our collars and pulling us back up, every single time....

astounding write

"What is left when you can already see tomorrow"  *sigh* now you've got me sitting crossed legged again, contemplating
(BTW, small technical error in this line: Tears have caressed my cheeks to(o) many times to count. )

Love is really all around us if we but look and see. It is in the many little things I see my neighbor do for others, it is in a child's smiling face. It is in one act of kindness from a stranger to another, and I have witnessed that too. We have to look outside our own lives and if we seek, we will find it. best marty
