It was maybe just the hem of a thread as you swirled and longer and longer it spiralled and a frazen'd end of cotton spun into a spiral of excitement snapped at a thread to end a dream It was deep when that turn of the head spun around as the world knew what I didn't sometime when it seemed but you just realise that it is bone, in the structure, unable to live together, unable to live apart, you give up trying to do either On a jeweller's window now you buy or provide money as life moves to difficult and money becomes more than someone's else Just the tools and glisten from the window and you are down in the gut Running until only one thing you can not run from - yourself You run, dream, plan and life says "sorry sunshine (London phrase) I didn't see your applications", but we will be open for your next applications but until then 'we have some nice music'. Then you dream as you ask for opportunity, your chance, no bias, no discrimination; just the chance to try for ability. Dave |
