Spin The Dream

Spin your words into my soul
Drape them over my eyes
Across my spirit
Like so
Soft like a
Dream in the round
As if you were
Only half in the world

Do you see? …..
Perhaps you imagine
That when you
Weave your words
Into ribbons of wonder
I don’t feel them
Stroking my mind
With a soft insistence
And can cast
Them off
As if they weren’t
Real delight

Maybe its because
They’re ethereal
Half there
And yet, yet
Almost not
Just like a misty breath
That is only
Vaguely touching
Frosting the
Corners of my mind
With dreams
Almost thought

So they are a wish
Or maybe they
Are more like a dream
But whatever
They are
You weave them
Into pure
And unadulterated
Magic

So take this small
Piece, this tiny part
And spin it into
A dream in the round

Marsha

"Just like a misty breath
That is only
Vaguely touching"

This verse caught my attention.
The entire write is wonderful, but this verse speaks loud.  Very nice.

Oh, lady... this is so beautiful...

It takes me onto two pathways... one a path of romance... and no one writes romance better than you do... so that's a lovely path, indeed. *S*

The other is a path of poetry... Those paths often parallel each other but they're distinct... and perhaps that path is even more important to me... for poets who weave their words, inspiring and finding inspiration... they're a comfortable constant... as is your talent. *S*

Beautiful work!!!

~ I especially enjoyed the above lines! You spin a very romantic dream of a poem!
