upon unsketched landscapes
of lavish white
the pen squirts blue
in wistful scrawl
pondering what secrets
might be bared
hauled to surface
from chasmic depths
of a writer’s
cluttered mind

words of ponder
hang in balance
like soft chemises
huddled in embrace
to defeat the chill
of an autumn morning

yet,
tender words
do not always rhyme
the heart sometimes
misses its beat
for there is no
all-perfect tune
in nature’s cyclic
song and dance

it, perhaps, is a hint
to rise above
the bottomless shambles
by washing away
those illegible stains
and leave the wet skin
out to dry

And as they dry,
we go on to make more.
Because writers have to...
it just happens.

Blue ink did you well here.
Lovely penning...

It is lines like the above that make your poetry so pleasant to read.  Well done.

I knew when I popped in this mornin I'd find magic and I wasn't disappointed. Your pen is just as wonderful as I remember it. Beautiful words from a long time friend.
Hugs,
Jules

The good die young....trite and not true, but it does seem to hold for poems here...the best seem to meet an early demise....let's put this one back where it belongs!
