I twisted my thoughts
so they would form a straight line
define in tangible terms
why you hated me so much
why I could never
love you enough
and how it was
that silence
always won the arguments
we never argued
and the things we always meant to say
never got said

instead
they unraveled
these thoughts
leaving fragmented
unanswered questions
that there really isn’t an answer to
I cock my head to one side
and watch my dogma
chase its proverbial tail
retwisiting my thoughts
again
and again
until finally
exhausted
I sleep

God Lady Sea, I do know this...
it aches too.  I wish no one to
ever have to know this ache.
Hugs.  You are special yanno??

Why Why?

Why do they make us feel this way. Like its our fault and we should be the one to blame if it doesn't workout. Twisting everything we say and everything we are thinking. Urrggg I could rip him apart he will always be a piece of sh** and always putting someone else down to make him feel better.

Sorry this poem got to me in exactly what is going on right now. Thank you for revealing what I shouldn't be feeling.

I am just venting, I am going through a really hard time right now.

Great poem SEA.

Exactly!!!! That's where I am at. I made a mistake of taking him back and didn't last a week. After four years, I have finally learned my lesson.....

wow, I am surprised...thanks all for the kind words, I'm sorry it rings true for so many...Cloud nine...I'm really sorry you know this...sad no one warned you of how he was. Hopefully things will get better for you. I wrote this actually for my brother in law who very recently has split with his wife, her choice, not his. He is a good man and it hurts me to see him go through this. I have been there, but have long since gotten over it....thank goodness I am very lucky to be married to a wonderful man. *hugs* for all of you

and yes, James, you are so right

Sea, I also have known this before. When you give all the love you have to give and it's just never enough...intil you have no more to give. Yet, you keep trying to please the person. I am so glad that my relationship with my honey-love isn't like that. He loves the way I love him...just as I love the way he loves me.
Good writing, sweetie.

you could express yourself...

wow  you must of been in my  soul today
feeling this myself,  i am so tired of the twisting of words, turning all around, rewritting history, never them,  its us women,  never ending battle,  yes i understand  it can be other way around, tonight i am just writting it off as they just know who is more intelligent, more wiser, more understanding,  more loving, stronger, and they just envy strong women, so they twist and turn to make us them, it cant happen,  i just spent three days of it, after getting out of 14 years of it, its their problem ,     sending a big hug your way  and one for your family  thanks

Dear Sea, I know this only too well my friend, what was there leaves, what is left is a couple that is lost yet craving to be found again, sometimes the fight might be the good thing, but it gets to a stage where even one word is the hardest thing to say.
Goodluck, it is why we write and share, it is how we survive and go on.

Great write here Sea, shows that you and I are not alone with these thoughts and unspoken words.

Sleep well my friend.

Sincerely
Rick
