Thru’ billowing mists of journeys past,
I travel in nightly dream,
To lives I've lived in ancient times,
~ Each life a stitch in seam.

The tapestry of wisdom learned,
Adds color with each thread.
~ A weave of life experiences,
With every drop that’s bled.

My story has no beginning,
It also has not an end.
It evolves thru’ lifetimes I have lived,
And those yet ‘round the bend.

My soul is ever-growing,
It expands as time does spin.
I’m a cog in the Wheel of Life,
Where the Light of God shines in.

Thru’ billowing mists of journeys past,
I travel in nightly dream.
To lives I've lived in ancient times,
~ Each life a stitch in seam.

Linda, I really enjoyed the turning out of this wheel in the form on this poem.  I am glad that, perhaps, my spoke is on the same wheel!  lol!!!   a plenty! .....jo

There are very strong images here about birth and rebirth. I like the idea of each section being nothing more than a stitch in a seam. Good job.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Linda

This poem is like the mandrel that centers the wheel of life
Your spirit is the axel on which it turns.

Mandala (Wheel Of Life) (definition) (Sanskrit)
Manda= essence  la= container

"A Perfect Sacred Sphere, a magical, sacred, and
perfected environment, which denotes the order and harmony
of an enlightened mind, and built on perfect wisdom. The
purified circle of an enlightened being, an environment wherein
God expresses Himself through you."

Of course the wheel is round, a symbol of recurring things
Older lifetimes overlapping into present lives, turning, ever turning.

Loved this poem from the heart of one who has taken her place on the great mandala...

Ya know - guess I'm in a serious blue hued mood this morning 'cause everything is striking me as beyond my reach - wish I could believe - but today . . .

To think of reincarnation - that would be a wonderous gift to believe in -

Though I do believe we've always existed and continue to do so - I've lost my concrete faith I once had -

Ah well - so we evolve, grow, continue - and tomorrow is a new day -

Hugs -  Susan

If I wander far enough, long enough, will I finally know . . .

Martie ~

To be told that my poem was "beautifully expressed" by a poetess who expresses herself so beautifully, is indeed, a compliment. Thank you!

Susan ~

I just feel like putting my arms about you and giving you a great, big, comforting hug. We all have those serious blue-hued day moods at times.

Yes, it is a gift to believe in reincarnation. For one thing, it helps explain the inequality of birth.

I have had SEVERAL experiences in my life that have borne out my past lives. Veritable evidence that has proven to me beyond a doubt of some of my previous incarnations. I also have proof that there is life beyond death ~ an abundance of evidence. If one has not experienced what I have, I can understand how one could doubt such things. I send you my love, my friend.

Love & Eternal Light,
Linda

Hi Linda, we all are on the wheel turning and spinning. The secret to a happy and joyful spin is to continue to let the light shine in and bask in its glory!

A wonderfully written piece and I just love your use of words. This means so much to me.

Luv ya, Marti
