how can we abuse these four basic human rights when there are people who dont know what freedom feels like happiness is a dream another world an emotion non-existant love consists of forced marriges and veilled faces lives are stolen before their time has come about war ripping apart families, homes lives, jobs, people instead of life they endure death instead of love they endure hate instead of happiness they live in sadness instead of freedom they are inprisoned how can we continue abusing the rights we all seem to take advantage of, and take for granted???? live life as if your going to die tomorow....... but love as if your going to live forever...... |

I love to hear (read) perspectives from a younger generation and I do take it to heart as I was once where you are... (Smiles) Not in Australia, but you know what I mean... and having talked to my son and having heard the views from other young men and women who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan in order to liberate the people there so that they might have the most basic of human rights of which you bring to surface here in your poem, that they too return home feeling much the same way as you've expressed here. thankyou all for your replies.. bob: this poem was actually ased on what i heard on the news about iraq and afghanistan, and for all the people who are involved in conflict that does not recieve the light of international news. alli: only occasionally do i post here.. and thankyou shadow: thankyou for replying live life as if your going to die tomorow....... but love as if your going to live forever...... |
