Valentine Past

What else is left unsaid?
You had that “Overwhelming”
thought in your head…

I simply stumbled into your life,
I was not hunting
with my muleskinner knife…

There you were *splendor in the grass,
in time
Pulitzer Prize-winning actress,
dressed to the nines…

How could I resist you,
your ruby-red lips?
Your desire to explore,
and more, in your rendering
passionate script…

Lightning flashes reflected
off your big brown eyes
As thunderstorms were building,
whispering lies…

Compulsion written on my mind
as we danced in our mingled scents,
Your breath warm and sweet,
your skin fresh, smooth,
passions adamant…

Until rainy storms opened windows
to cold rain,
and west winds blew-in
to restrain…

The ways of youthful living day to day
You and I were, somewhat,
that way,
those days of our past.
That
Valentine’s day

This sparkles with youth and unrestrained joy of love.... even if it's a memory of the past.

Beautifully written.
