Exhale

He dreams of love and contentment,
Breathing silently through parted lips,
Exhaling curling wisps of her beauty skyward---
A form that dances sensually along the ceiling of his eyes,
Causing condensation to form inside the lining of his heart
Where pores open up from the thought of her sweetness,
Exuding the full realization of happiness through a slight smile;
And as she sleeps peacefully beside him,
Memories of the night’s passion will repeat the cycle
As he again inhales her essence of rose water and lavender---
A preamble to the exhalation of love.
