The grumpy grays
Gained ground on me today
Dressed in their war bonnets
And sporting paint

This was serious!

It was a
“circle your wagons”  time –

problem was . . .
I was a pioneer party of one

Then you rode in—
Upon your white burro
Six guns blazing humor
Fearless!
Laughing in their face

They knew then
They’d met their match
And ran for the hills
in retreat

“My hero!” I swooned
as my sun come cowboy
swept me off my feet

and we rode off into the sky blue haze
living to laugh another day!

If I wander far enough, long enough, will I finally know . . .

Nice to know that Andy Devine and Gabby Hayes sometimes get the girl.

Unfortunately you made me recall I had far more company when I was a clown....hmmmm.

Enjoyed the humor.

Kevin - glad to give you a tickle

Misc' - thanks dear - those diverse styles I think have a great deal to do with the multiple personalities and my habit of morphing that I've had since a child -
