so i wait here

washing my footsteps
of non-history
tiny ones

and then
drying
on the wintry
clothesline

skeletal
down to the bone
of my still existing
love

i miss you so much

so much
the summer-shine of my
passion

you
the absent word
of my unfinished line
that refuses
to open out
from my cardboard box
that some call
heart

my valentine
of pine
you remain

as
i spill tears
in Warhol colours
of black and white

drip
and then
splash

Suddie...it is so good to welcome you home again...
stay awhile this time, please...
we've been wondering where our poets had
wandered off to...

Don't you dare stay away so long again Sudhir.  It is people that write poetry so well like you that can even make us poor souls who try read if you keep writing here.  Sending a hug to you over there m'friend, and its beautiful poetry you give us.

The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious.
It is the source of all art and science.

Sudhir!  So good to read you once again.
And this one is a real 'sigh maker'.
Hugs to you m'friend.

I found there lives within me..

Hi S

only popped in a few minutes, found your poem, couldn't resist reading it. And it is nice to read your writing again.

And I like it - full of your usual poignancy.

(but I do think you could afford to lose the last three lines, you're belabouring your point heh).

Hugs

Thanks a lot Kamla and Sue...

Kamla,
I re-thought your thoughts and reworded  the last two stanzas:
---
as i drip
and then splash
in Warhol colours
of black and white

--- spilling tears sounded too plain on the re-read
