In need motivated
trails mind to other realms,
a tendril of desire
in weave unconfined.

Find there I do
the blank despair
of heart in mournful cry
and I listen to the silence
of despondency.

Belies my strength its weakness
to lift again from sorrow
and I stand in the forefront
a teacher to the soul.

No fish!  I have no fish
like love in free assist
and I lecture self endeavours
to reach the pinnacle.

Love’s rope beneath my feet
and leaking from my eyes
the tears of one who knows
it needs a reaching hand
to make the truth unfold.

Folded arms in static pose
and I in heartache drown;
suffer not the “everyone”
this pain of love in wait!
