Listening to every heart

0 posted 2005-02-09 07:44 PM

                                              It’s safe, now.

                                             When finding another
                                                       like you
                                             doing what you do,
                                                      as a writer
                                              but he or she calls all the names out
                                                     strangulating them
                                              or at least that which is
                                              perceived as wrong

                                              and makes it safe now;

                                              you breathe easier.

                                             At least, I did.  There could have been
                                             underscores of every line, so much
                                             so, for this was my own heart speaking,
                                             my reason for being, now…the
                                             long ago spoken promise of me, for me;

                                             of no one personally known
                                             as friend, poet,
                                             or the inanity of just because I have to.

                                             Sensible lines, I doubt one might listen
                                             but I am not alone
…and

                                             Validation.

                                             Good medicine.

                                             It’s safe, now.

Karilea,
How good is to experience validation and security. Nice write. Peace.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

You are good. And I'm....well, for want of a phrase that's less hackneyed and more apropos, I'm proud to know you.

Thank you for this, dear lady...thank you.

I find much untold story behind these simple lines.  Well told.  Ken
