the night, is eccentric
hemmed by sea-salt and crowned stars
and the ocean, hums like a ghost with
all it’s mysteries, beached:

                    i trace its lines

and my eyes, seek the curves of you
and I swell, just like it beloved
in all it’s blue motion
where I see your eyes    and
the white-wash that      spills
from them

and i thrust, like the south wind
on the edge of this land
wet with fog and rain
to curl round you

and i knew in the crystalline knowledge of you

to curl around you

this gives me the feeling of being
wrapped up in the silky sand right
when the sea gets sleepy

Creatively expressive and sensuous. Remarkably romantic. A very enjoyable read!

I read this last night, little one...
and was quite taken with it - so much so,
it sent me off in reflection...

so I needed to come back and tell you,

thank you...

for all of your many and varied talents...
and for sharing them with all of us.

"where I see your eyes    and

Loved it wholly, but like these words the best.

Thanks,

=========================
you had me from the title on.
I dont know how you do this..but you always do...consistantly you create lush imagery with succinct verse and poetically brilliant personif and symbolism.
Beautiful penning poetess Maree.
