Listening to every heart

Iced high

Clear clean tonal
archaic symbols
woven along this gray morn,
where
line/s/wipes were lending dance

leaving exotic gifts, treasured secrets ~
at least,
it all appeared to me that way…

in early morning light
when snow’s melt trailed my window
and met air's gasp on winter,
icing the tears before they
were wipered clear

leaving skeletal lines angled
and streamed, frozen trails
of tongue talk, or written poetry

of other languages,
my gaze grazed the glaze
through otherwise white streets

where lights cherried red
through these crystal figments
of imagination’s
sound,

leaving, yes, leaving poetry

iced high.

Karilea - if I whisper, will you listen?  Keeping in mind, I must stand close...and keep my promises...

Fine words for such images.  I'm glad I read this one.  Ken

You are such a joy to read, lady!  Imagery is one of your really stronge suits and you sure wear it well in this one.   ......jo

Ooooh....wow...love it!!
Wonderful images flashed through my mind as I read.

In the midst of winter,
I found there lives within me..
an invincible summer.

I love finding poetry...
and how sometimes it just appears,
or maybe it just is,
and we can take it and punctuate it,
and come out with beauties like this.

Always, Alyssa
