desert flower looking for rain

5364

it was a ... witness of love
a word you say is over -
done-used and like your
harem, always open
(to interpretation) [i say]
it was ... supposed to be there
for you, as a shelter for storms
but now the desert isn't so dry
and it floods in my living room
here, where you said it won't work

i pulled out each stitch
lost count after 5364
drifted off in thought as i rolled
the past 4 months into balls of
purple and black
thinking i'd throw them away
like you ... did with me
but, after an hour i realized i
was braiding the colors into a rope

did you stick around for the hanging
or has the weather already changed?

Snow, this is beyond words that I have. It's just touched so much of me and G*d did you find the words I never could. Excellent. Sincerely, Sauni

Hey Snow...love it! You knew I would though. Wow! This is so deep...and the title...blew me away! You have penned heartache with absolute perfection. Excuse me...have to go read this again.

but is 5364 the combination to a heart hidden and hurt secretly reaching out for someone to do more than acknowledge its pain.

robert... i wonder if your response is because you don't think it's good ... (which i agree, it's not) it's simply emotion, but that doesn't mean i will let it lie as is. or, if you're wondering about the meaning.. either way, you know you can write me.

thank you all for the thoughts on this.
