Images pinch like
Hot Turkish coffee…Ouch!
A karma police officer
Directing underscored memoirs
Like letters on a park bench
Frozen in winter’s open graves
To a parked phenomenon….
Frozen in time, eyes glowing glossy white
Honking endlessly….repetitiously
In hopes that fingers of assurance
Would be the talented one

When white park birds place a blanket
Over the shoulder’s of blank verse
Spring draws a campaign to have
“05” re-upholstered, pruning shears in hand
An old woman in line, knitting soft glows
Daffodils flat line moving to a land
Of lakes and hills

I’m sober these days with a cat proud stride
Which is a sin, I know, but…
Hearing my angel snicker, and
Clinging to me like paraffin
Needless to say, some evil monster is tugging at him
Scratching me
Scraping our spirit pelts
While we dodge the headlights of
Oncoming brain mud with stone motifs

Hiding all my youth in chinaberry undergrowth
Like birds storing up for one last winter
Felling away from grey-haired insomnia
Kneeling in emerald marsh grass
Waiting for a rainy day

Deepest longings slip through the cracks
Reeds like puff adders spitting
Suburban air, well regarded
To the orders of an intriguing title
Like a faint hum of electric scissors
I can hear one thousand violin strings
Playing all the way from the Kimmel Center

Feeling so small in brackish reeds
Of voice
From a natural world,
With Main Street experience
Harmonious and dive bombing
Southern river ports
Where heart owns a flaming tongue
Shouting green obscenities

and I’m inspired by heavily worn paths
even though I’m thought odd

In hopes of sitting out the rain
Mankind running in circles
Hurting the ears of a long shore,
With one camera eye & a journal
Promising a union eternal

Getting around these days in cold blue modern art
Seems to be asthmatic earnest pools in the eyes
Harlequin makes a toast with milk
I’m standing here amongst the ash
Still building childhood castles
Cause I can’t resist the tinge of flames
Picking flowers gives me breast implants
Giving poetry to an old woman next door
Makes me drunk
She tears up the paper
Singing and Dancing
“Crazy Woman!”, I think
With a smile

Footnote:  I believe everyone has their own personal angel watching over them
If it be one's own right side, or some divine being, who am I to say?

It's the pace that determines character and shows uniqueness, all the paths are heavily worn.

This stream of conscious was full of cool images and reflections.

Awesome Lee , I was trying to pick out a favourite line , loved it all , but especially like the "heavy worn paths " I guess that proves we have lived life to the fullest  !!
