we were weave fingers blending shimmer and sigh songs into our mantle we wore the sky colors on our passion's skin you gave me your eyes early and closed them at our dawn I touched your neck there under your hair edges and gave you my wandering we were metal shapes meld welded seamless we were viscid hounds molten into our own flavor rivers we were slow flood gloves surrounding day dreams that bathed us in nightskins and whispered to our ears the voiceless words of a lover's psalm ________________ dark |
