Be my Valentine!

Whispers so a dream, “Be my Valentine!”
ordered and not queried with evasive stares,
flutter of eyelids, stuttered speech, or tears.

Swiftly flies a heart through the barriers of life,
atmospheric pressure; how heavy is the air
weighing on the scales the yes or no to feel?

Shine the moon love’s light to the tune of years,
stars in rhythmic dance accompany the times,
and “Be my Valentine!” from faith into despair.

Rise up the sun, the heat of love, nearer, nearer, near,
the circle done, the time is right to feel the need of peace
and from the sky the angels sing, “All power to the brave”.

In the pocket of a soul lies commitment to a dream
and this day of Valentine the time to find and save!
