FLORAL ESSENCES
~ Linda L. Dowd ~

+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+
I love to wear floral essences,
I mist them from toes to my head.
~ Roses, and lilacs, and gardenias ~
In the morning and when off to bed.

I’m suffused with the scent of fresh flowers,
It helps lift my mood through the day,
~ By keeping me closer to nature,
And banishing blues away!

Lily-of-the-Valley is lovely,
I wear it on hot summer days.
I spray my skin with its freshness,
To cool down the heat of sun’s rays.

Jasmine I wear in the evenings,
It’s romantic, alluring and fine.
An evocative tropical essence,
~ A fragrance for loving divine.

Jasmine is one of those words that  brings out longing in all of us.  Well done, Linda.  Ken

Linda - I too love the florals - bet you smell pretty as a posy - I love the smell of Avon's Goddess - it makes me think of lilacs in spring - though it is a blending of freesia, muguet and musk -

enjoyed this -

Hugs - Susan

Sparkling Susan ~

Actually, my boyfriend took me out to a very up-scale restaurant last W/E and one of the waiters stopped in his tracks as he walked by me and he said, "You are wearing Anais Anais" (a French floral perfume). When I replied that I was, he said that it was his favourite scent on a woman! lol My BF responded to him with words that were highly flattering to me ... Needless to say, this all led up to me writing this poem! Flowers

Big hug and an even bigger smile!
Linda

Ummmm....I love fragrance, too, Linda.  In my later years, I've found I've become hypersensitive to almost everything...but I can still wear very natural scents (like the flowers you've described).  Heavenly smells certainly do lift us!     and love, Jo

I love the floral scents also, Linda. Although, I don't have any. I test them out at the store, LOL. The scent does seem to get rid of the blue feeling, doesn't it.

Jo ~

Hi, girlfriend! Yes, the natural pure essences don't have all the chemicals and preservatives that colognes and perfumes have in them ~ and the essential oils last so much longer! Flowers

Hugs with mucho lovo!
