I still feel
this touch of petals
brushed against my soul

wind sings in whispers
a murmured hush

I recall how lips, pouted
in loves suggestion

Before winter comes
and leaves my heart cold --
stones of past will turn
their colors

like the sea when it rains
a place remembered--

for awhile: I would dream you
in Autumn
on a platform of shadows

that would blend the pristine
of winters white and
hues of yesterday
melding them into rivers
of the coming spring
that would carry me back
to precious moments
that left my heart warm

I, left breathless,
caught by the moons silence
watching rain
carve morning into earth
