Media’s Twilight Zone

Sensing a
Jolting suddenness
Feeling desperately, for something in sinister blackness
Ohhh, curse this high definition darkness
Curse this spare time of evil
Full-throated roars….blood thirsty eyes
It’s strong cloud of raised eyebrows
Taunting promises, arresting souls
Long plumed war horse soldiers
Tormenting clarity of vision
Handcuffing consciousness
Primal nature spreading degradation, chaos…
Mistrust….
Raging mindless, urine regime
Monotonous zombie people
Attacking the essence of man
Haunting coffins of abstracts, lies
Propaganda
Walking nightmares, mud stalkers
With tarantula legs
Crossing the cries of hell’s outcasts
Skeletal stares
Whispery fingers of mildewed blood in the air
Visitations coming more frequently
More consuming
Rampaging bitterness, stabbing the spine
Hammering the psyche
Seeding poisonous alarm
Dead lips of icy breezes caress
The back of my neck, my mind, my soul
Gage reflex of rising bile
Knees me hard in the stomach
Ripping apart Holy Trinity
Hot stench of greed, lusts, power, control...
Child molesters....
Deafening driving rain
Midair collisions with the debris of fear
Funeral nails scraping at my window
Like a long high pitched mutterings, a dismal howl
Of wolves tearing apart the kill
Gnashing the chest of freedom...the living

No more channel surfing for me...

The media can really put a damper on one's day ~ and night, "eh" ?!?(as we say in Canada! )

This truly was brilliantly and powerfully expressed! You are one talented writer!

Good god! I ran around locking the doors after this one. And I'm listening to the stereo so the TV won't know I'm here.

Laughing at RS - hehe - have to agree - this one gave me the chills - shiver bones - this is why I don't watch the news - love my DVR where i can choose what to record and skip through the commercials -

Oy!  Enjoyed this scary tumble
