cars
parked
along the shore

it’s easy enough
to speak of love
when you’ve nothing to lose

even vacant hearts
in their unconsciousness -
always have something to say

a pretty phrase
composed of words
colored
intended
to draw a sigh

like bait flung out
upon the waves

to see what fish will rise

Yes... but that just makes the whisper more precious when the risk is everything... as it is when those words have meaning beyond the moment.
