I responded to a lady - erica on Wednesday, September 09, 1998, 14:10:00.

On the Scroll and wrote an answer to some words.

Her words have given me so much inspiration that I still remember them and write as if I hear them.

as the sun sets in the west
my heart sets with it.
for with the day ending
so does your love for me.
if this love were ment to be
then why are you leaving?
is it something i did
or failed to do?

My words in reply

The sun rises in the east
I rise with it
I see the dawn begin
I stride with it
I chase the running day
I leave your love behind
I dont think about it
It's all gone
But that's my kind

And I then wrote a poem called "sometime" which doesn't fit in but still seems to, in my mind

Sometime
In a smile
Desire twitches feeds
Of sufficiency
On
Images
Masked with sounds
In a light
Darkened with illuminated scenes
Of captured ideas
Within your thoughts
Within your mask
Within your room

Both poems are excellent writes.  The connection is visual in words of lighted scenes
Captured ideas, a relationship of two on the opposite ends of a situation: “East is east and West is west, and never the twain shall meet.”  One with the idea to abandon, or shy away, the other to admire from a distance wanting to be involved.

Just a thought…

Enjoyed the read.
Thanks DavePage.

I never even thought about the connection.

You hit it on the head.

She wrote and I responded but with only words not thought.

Thanks

Dave
