Our first moment In the beginning was Nun Primeval waters of nothingness But beneath the eyes of Atum We stepped forth from watery chaos And experienced our first Moment You were as Re Lighting the heavens As you traveled the skies Old kingdom wonders Wrought in your shine Dancing the rhythms of Life I drew my eyes in kohl Donning silken robes flowing Like the sweep of the Nile In mist kissed morning Adorned with bangles of gold Reflecting Nefertiti In attempt to draw you with Allure As if Nut – goddess of the sky And Geb – god of the earth We blended together Like ink upon papyrus You in the White crown, I in the Red Two kingdoms merging In the climactic event of Unification Now we walk the netherworlds Of light and dark Clothed in the constellations The melding of ka and ba Along paths eternal Treading the footsteps of Osiris Within divine celestial realms Transfigured s.a.t. If I wander far enough, long enough, will I finally know . . . |
