Lie Close

Lie close beside me, your cheek on my own,
And secure in my arms, rest your sorrow.
Whisper of love in your lush velvet tones,
As we hide from that distant tomorrow.
This eve’s our own, let us love full and free,
Let each moment be deemed ours forever,
To savor these hours of sheer ecstasy,
Spent in perfect communion together.
Look in my eyes, let my love be revealed,
With your hand on my heart feel my passion.
Each former sadness forever concealed,
As we love in this wonderful fashion.

Within our arms lies this heaven on earth,
Let us protect its unparalleled worth.
