In shades of light and shadows
buried to the eye unbelieved
through these long cold tomorrows
lays a waiting to be received ...

something wished upon,
something preyed

When the air, once thick, shows clear
my chest, once heaved, slowly hails in
answering the age old fear,
releasing my breath to wind ...

something to build on,
something fraid

In shades of light and shadows
these eyes, once tired now relieved
of salted tears of sorrows
which my emptied soul conceived ...

something destined on,

... something prayed

In shades of light and shadows
can one only see a man made

"In life's giving ... love is a gift, such worth living."

I was almost going to make a suggestion, and then I felt the play on words, and all is right with this poem.

Well done, Sir.

P.S.  You can't imagine how much I appreciate the change of photo!

This is...perhaps one of your best write, Craig. Love the way you played with words and imagery.
