Beyond the threshold wavering light and shadow drift across the floor.
Remembered notes have triggered thoughts from thirty some odd years before.
Emotions run the scale of chords to re-unite us in the end,
as scattered phrases from a song incite trace memories of when.

Much more than that, it seems would be, entwined in this reality
of sounds that color and inspire, on wings, as butterflies soar higher.
Computers and magnetic ink, a tribute to a Harvard son,
the far away forgotten land, again re-visited as one.

The music touched, the thoughts embraced, a feeling that some type of bond,
extends from where a threshold reached connects to what might lie beyond.

William, this is definitely echoing a Moody Blues tune to me with a few new overtones!  Loved it.  ......jo

glory
glory
arms to sky
as if they never knew the weight
of the briefcase
and the ruse
of "I think that I am late"
for a date with hearts of Queen
orchestrated
pulsing
green
clover of the magistrate
of lights
in pastellate...we scream
silent with our lighters held
burning our thumbs
witnessing
that we would have "more"

(I was there.)

Love ya Doc.

a fine tribute to one of my favorite institutions...saw em live at the filmore in san francisco around 70 and considered going to see them again on a recent trip to california at an indian casino...somehow it just didn't seem right listening between the slots and blackjack so passed on that one.kinda like goin home i think sometimes the memories might be better left as just that.lol...good write, took me back to those days of lsd, lbj, mexican pot and red mountain wine...enjoyed.

Live like it's your last day...

I too have been a fan for over 30 years and I enjoyed this tribute very much...the one that triggers the most memories for me is Days of Future Past - especially nights in white satin....but I own every album and I think you did a fine job here.

Oh, wow. *S* You've made this fan's day... I won't admit to how many times I've seen them in concert... or how many miles I've traveled to attend those concerts. LOL But I will say... they've never, ever disappointed... and given the chance... I'll be there once again. *S*

One note... a couple of the BEST times were at casinos... Of course... front row didn't hurt! LOL

Thank you for this!! *S*

Denise,
Yes they can, I'm not going to get more specific than, "thirty-some-odd".
Doc

Susan,
Thanks, A friend recently gave me a re-mix, which somehow found it's way into my cd player. A few drinks, a few notes, and it could have been the seventies all over again.
Doc

suthern,
My pleasure, I'm glad you liked, I too caught them at a casino nearby, kinda made me feel old, but good.

Isn't life strange,
a turn of the page
can read like before~

Wonderful mix of memories you're stirring up here.
