A word of truce

Slip into my mind one more time
Let us renew our rhythm

Forget not our past
But build on the last

Each foot of our foundation
Strengthening that new sensation

Keeping the simple hope
Regaining our visions scope

Two friends of written word
Without sharing would be absurd

So I call to you with a plea
Here I am on bended knee

A word of truce from me to you
For this is truly overdue

Slip into my mind one more time
Let us renew or rhythm

not sure if you  meant "our" rhythm or not

enjoyed your thoughts...a compromise or truce...either way, a better course of action
