In the quiet of an evening
the rise and fall of my own breathing
becomes the familiar beginning of
fading away into thoughts of you.

Time suspends,
persuading the mysterious
powers of reality to loosen her bonds,
strand by strand.

It feels like forever, but night,
(the final resting place of random
beginnings and ends)
is just an illusion.

And soon the sun rises,
chasing away the shadow memories
until all that's left
is a blank sheet
of  new day.

There are no words left
for thoughts, stranded.

Enjoyed your snapshot of pain's drain. Felt as though I were eavesdropping. Like the appropriate end lines.

Poets against the war is redundant

I wish I had written this~~~

Placing myself under cover
to provide the warmth needed
I lay my thoughts into memory arms
to hold me until the morn

Poignant write, but so excellent!

And soon the sun rises,
chasing away the shadow memories
until all that's left
is a blank sheet
of  new day.

Thank goodness for new days!

Yes, it sometimes happens like that.  Enjoyed your words.
