walking the surreal

you stepped into my whitewashed world
with your sin skin spin
and sensual strut stuff
those bad boy biker boots
dancing your “tempt say-tion” words
before my shuttered eyes

i wore seven veils
draped for the demure
but they could not hide
what you said you saw
and would i dance for you too?
Letting them fall to reveal my heaven

it was awkward at first
but you played such lovely music
that my body took to sway your way
bare foot and bangled
with gypsy song longing
and tambourine dreams

then i too saw
the she that lurked in the shadows
always having danced in private
longing for some adoring eyes
and willing hands
to pry the veils away

If I wander far enough, long enough, will I finally know . . .

Susan, incredibly good, any guesses on who this is about?  So much like his format...both the poem and him...

Enjoyed the read, and so will he...amazing

Ah, blatant, aren't I?  But if one writes their heart - sometimes they must be blatant and he is very dear to me - has helped me grow, stretch my words -

Thanks my friend -

to whisper love
to a gypsy

and could you be
that gypsy
that loves the wind

your stir me dear satin

Oh Inky one - you make me grin - I'm sure he could handle an entire harem as if we do not all swoon as it is

Vandana - thanks dear for leaving your smile
