Winter’s Wedding Topping

as a wedding cake
my neighbor’s house stands
beneath smooth, white frosting
giving a sense of sweetness within

a luscious array of thoughts,
flavors reach into my memories
tantalizing me, luring me
come, imbibe

a joy of camaraderie
will fill you, lift your spirits
a slice of effervescence
one “forkful” at a time

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Yummy!!! I enjoyed the thoughts of camaraderie that you expressed here and the flavor of your poem was soooo rich that I could almost taste it. -Bob

Thanks, muchly!  I have to tell you that today's snow looked more like frosting than I've ever seen it. Glad you enjoyed.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
