Drifting on the soul

0 posted 2005-01-16 09:45 AM

Yellow bird which flew with the sunlight
From the nest at dawn to my heart at dusk
I heard her stories beneath the leaves
Uttered the thoughts of a lonely soul
Misplaced smiles and unlived memories
Holding a tear dearly, close in the palm
Abandoned seeds and unwatered dreams
A story lies in the tone of her pain
My journey begins in the beat of her breast
With a yellow bird in my hand at sunset
I flew high to kiss the clouds
And I kept what he lost
