I lean back;

my hair flows
in a vine, the
color of rain,

this is a time
before vanity
or pride took hold,
though in dreams
i remain
forever blonde,

no shape contains me;

i am thoughtless,
a cloudwisp,

untethered to
skin or bone,

and i wrap myself
for miles around them,

swinging my tresses
further back now,
free, and knowing,
that at anytime,
i can catch
my own fall,

and i remember
when i'm with them,
i existed once
a sapling,

virgin eyes of wonder,

before the heart
was struck by love.

Laughing at Dark - men and redheads - ah, but then that is what henna is for

And blonde - it is the lovely of spun gold - enjoyed this - especially the thought of once having been a sapling, I like that metaphor

We miss something of "blonde" I think...
The innocense and rapture of forever dawn comes to mind.
Smiling at you,

I think within your blonde indeed lies the heart of a red head.     I don't believe the fire is out of you yet gal!  Awesome write.
